What age groups does the Academy cater to?

  • We offer programs for juniors of all ages, typically starting around 10 years old and up through high school and college. 

What skill levels are accepted into the Academy?

  • We have programs for all skill levels, from beginners (Foundations Level) to advanced players (Performance Level). Players are placed in levels based on their skill and experience.

How do I enroll my child in the Academy?

  • Enrollment is typically done through our open enrollment period. Please fill out the provided enrollment form, and we will place students in appropriate classes based on skill level and availability.

What is the structure of the Academy's schedule?

  • Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays,Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. We offer different attendance options including 2 days per week, 1 day per week (Saturday), and unlimited access.

What happens if my child misses a class? Are makeup classes available?

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer makeup classes to ensure class sizes remain consistent. However, you can choose flexible attendance days that work best for your schedule. Make up classes may be available from May-September.

What are the level names in the Academy?

  • We’ve introduced new level names:
    • Foundations (Beginners)
    • Developmental (Basic skills with a desire to compete)
    • Performance Prep (Tournament and high school golfers)
    • Performance (Invitation-only for advanced players)

How many students are in each class?

  • Each class is capped at 15 students to ensure focused instruction and a more personalized learning experience.

What is the cost of the program?

  • The pricing depends on the level and frequency of attendance. Typical monthly costs range from $185 for 1 day per week (Saturday) to $375 for our advanced Performance Level. Pricing Information.

Can I request specific class times?

  • Yes, you can indicate your scheduling preferences on the enrollment form. We will do our best to accommodate travel and other scheduling needs.

Does the Academy offer tournament preparation or support?

  • Yes, we guide our players on tournament participation and preparation, especially for those in our Performance Prep and Performance Levels.

What is the Academy’s annual enrollment limit?

  • We limit our Academy enrollment to 75 students annually to maintain high-quality instruction and individualized attention.

How does the billing system work?

  • An Anders Mattson Junior Golf Academy membership offers the flexibility to maintain your golf instruction routine throughout the year, regardless of fluctuations in your schedule. Some months, you might find yourself utilizing the studio less due to tournaments, school practice, vacations, or other personal commitments. During these times, you might only visit the studio a few times or even less. Conversely, there will be months when you attend all of the scheduled classes and frequent the studio more, taking full advantage of the facilities and classes offered.
  • Despite these variations in usage, the cost of your Anders Mattson Junior Golf Academy membership remains consistent. This fixed cost structure ensures that you can budget your junior golf expenses predictably without worrying about changes in fees based on your attendance. Whether you attend all of the classes one month or just a few another month, your membership cost stays the same, providing you with the convenience and stability to pursue your golf journey.
  • The Academy also provides constant content to all of our students and families, including drill assignments and consultations. This ongoing support is a great example of the comprehensive benefits the academy offers.

What safety measures are in place during training sessions?

  • Safety is a top priority. We have trained coaches, first aid supplies and follow safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for all participants.

Can parents observe training sessions?

  • No, due to the limited space availability parents are asked to not attend training sessions.

How do students “level up” in the academy

  • Students will be evaluated during the year and changes to levels will be made during the “open enrollment’ period. Evaluation criteria will include but not limited to : work ethic, skill, tournament success, High School success, time in the Academy.

How will families know if classes are canceled due to poor weather conditions?

  • Families will be emailed as soon as we make a decision to close the studio.
